Diamondcap™ is an expanded metal designed to economically replace the bottle cap face grids used in flat-panel disposable filters.

Expanded Technologies’ Products Support the Media Which Achieve Higher MERV Ratings
Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) is a standard which rates the overall effectiveness of air filters. Higher value MERV rating equates to finer filtration as fewer dust particles and other airborne contaminants can pass through the filter. Higher MERV-rated pleated filters require support; our expanded metal is the most cost-effective product for this application.
Expanded Technologies’ expanded metal mesh supports filtration media in pleated filters. This gives the media rigidity and helps to maintain proper spacing between pleats, resulting in maximum filtration efficiency, low resistance, and high dust-holding capacity. In addition, our expanded metal mesh maximizes pleat stability which prevents the filter from racking or vibrating under normal airflow.
Higher MERV-rated pleated filters, with expanded metal support, maintain cleaner motors, equipment components and coils, resulting in greater heat and cooling transfer.
Higher MERV-rated pleated filters, with expanded metal support, allow greater particulate capture, fewer IAQ complaints and do not promote bacteria growth.
